US-listed spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds attracted approximately $541 million in net inflows on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, as Bitcoin investment products rebounded sharply and Ethereum funds returned to positive territory.
Data from Farside Investors shows Bitcoin ETFs received $524.8 million, Ethereum funds attracted $14.9 million and Solana ETFs added $600,000.
The three categories generated combined inflows of $540.3 million. Including approximately $709,000 in XRP ETF subscriptions, the broader five-category total reached approximately $541 million, with Hyperliquid funds reporting no net movement.
The result reversed October 20’s modest withdrawals, when Bitcoin inflows of $23.2 million failed to offset Ethereum and Solana redemptions totaling $28.7 million. The recovery was concentrated in Bitcoin, although Ethereum’s return to positive flows marked a notable change after five consecutive sessions of withdrawals.
BlackRock and Fidelity Drive Bitcoin’s $524.8 Million Inflow
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) attracted $235 million on October 21, making it the session’s largest individual recipient of capital. Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) followed closely with $212.7 million, bringing the two issuers’ combined inflows to $447.7 million.
Together, they accounted for approximately 85% of the Bitcoin ETF category’s daily net subscriptions. Bitwise’s Bitcoin ETF (BITB) received $19.2 million, while Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) recorded $32.6 million. Additional inflows included $9.8 million for ARK 21Shares’ ARKB, $7.3 million for Franklin Templeton’s EZBC and $8.2 million for Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust.
The broad participation contrasted with October 19, when BlackRock’s $665.2 million inflow offset substantial withdrawals from Fidelity and Grayscale. Bitcoin ETF inflows rose from $23.2 million on October 20 to $524.8 million the following session, an increase of $501.6 million. Across October 19–21, Bitcoin funds accumulated approximately $1.07 billion in net inflows.
The three-session total suggests renewed demand for regulated Bitcoin exposure, although short-term subscription patterns do not necessarily establish a sustained trend.
Ethereum Reverses Five-Day Outflow Streak as Solana Stabilizes
Ethereum ETFs recorded $14.9 million in net inflows on October 21, ending a five-session withdrawal streak. Grayscale’s Ethereum Mini Trust led subscriptions with $28.1 million, followed by Fidelity’s Ethereum Fund with $13 million. Bitwise’s ETHW and Franklin Templeton’s EZET each attracted $900,000, while Morgan Stanley’s Ethereum fund received $1.3 million.
However, BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) continued experiencing redemptions, losing $29.3 million. The outflow partially offset gains elsewhere, demonstrating that institutional demand remained uneven across issuers. Ethereum funds had lost approximately $388.9 million during the preceding five trading sessions, including $103.3 million on October 19 and $26.1 million on October 20.
Wednesday’s inflow therefore represented a modest reversal rather than a complete recovery from recent selling pressure. Solana ETFs recorded $600,000 in net inflows, entirely attributable to Morgan Stanley’s MSOL product. Other tracked Solana funds, including Bitwise’s BSOL and Grayscale’s GSOL, reported no net movement. The result followed $2.6 million in Solana ETF withdrawals on October 20 and $6.7 million on October 19.
Meanwhile, XRP ETFs attracted approximately $709,000, with subscriptions and redemptions across individual funds largely offsetting each other. For cryptocurrency markets, the October 21 session demonstrated renewed demand for Bitcoin ETFs alongside tentative stabilization in alternative digital asset products.
Whether the recovery continues will depend on subsequent fund flows, cryptocurrency prices and broader institutional risk appetite.
