BitMine Holds 6.06 Million ETH as Ether Rebounds, but Share…

BitMine Immersion Technologies is facing a fresh valuation test as Ethereum rebounds from recent lows, with the company’s substantial cryptocurrency holdings drawing renewed attention to the discount at which its shares trade.

In a November 2 disclosure, BitMine reported holding 6,060,506 ETH as of November 1, representing approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s reported circulating supply of 122.2 million tokens. The company valued its combined cryptocurrency, cash, marketable securities and other investments at approximately $14.5 billion, using an Ethereum reference price of $2,261.

BitMine added 8,573 ETH during the preceding week, extending its accumulation strategy despite market volatility. However, its share price has struggled to reflect the reported value of its holdings, raising questions about whether improving cryptocurrency markets will narrow the discount.

BitMine’s Treasury Approaches 5% of Ethereum Supply

BitMine’s latest holdings place the company close to its stated objective of accumulating 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. At the reported supply level, that target would require approximately 6.11 million ETH, leaving the company roughly 50,000 tokens short.

The latest disclosure also included 216 Bitcoin, $498 million in cash and marketable securities, a $180 million investment in Beast Industries and an $82 million position in Eightco Holdings. Staking represents another important component of BitMine’s treasury strategy.

The company reported 5,227,037 ETH staked, equivalent to approximately 86% of its total Ethereum holdings. At the November 1 reference price, those staked assets were worth approximately $11.8 billion. BitMine estimated annualized staking revenue of $358 million on its existing staked balance, using its reported yield assumptions.

If its entire Ethereum treasury were staked, the company projected annualized rewards of approximately $415 million. Those figures are projections rather than guaranteed earnings and remain sensitive to network yields, token prices and operating expenses.

The company has developed its Made in America Validator Network, known as MAVAN, to support staking operations and institutional clients.

Share Discount Tests Investor Confidence in Treasury Strategy

Despite the size of its holdings, BitMine’s market capitalization has remained below its reported asset value. On November 3, BMNR shares were valued at approximately $11.79 billion, compared with the company’s $14.5 billion holdings figure.

That represented a gap of roughly $2.71 billion, or 18.7% relative to the reported asset value. The comparison is indicative rather than a precise net asset value calculation because it does not fully account for liabilities, preferred securities, dilution or other corporate adjustments.

Independent treasury trackers have also placed BitMine’s market-to-net-asset-value multiple below one, indicating a continuing discount. An Ethereum price recovery would increase the dollar value of BitMine’s token holdings, but it would not automatically close that valuation gap.

Investors must also assess the company’s financing structure, future share issuance and ability to generate sustainable staking income. The relationship between asset growth and shareholder value is particularly important for cryptocurrency treasury companies that raise capital to acquire additional tokens.

Issuing shares below underlying net asset value can dilute existing shareholders unless the proceeds generate sufficient additional value. Conversely, stronger investor demand could narrow the discount if BMNR shares appreciate faster than Ethereum.

BitMine’s latest disclosure illustrates the sensitivity of its balance sheet to cryptocurrency prices. Although the company increased its ETH holdings, the reported value of its combined assets declined from approximately $15 billion the previous week to $14.5 billion.

For shareholders, the next test is whether Ethereum’s rebound translates into sustained improvement in BMNR’s valuation rather than simply increasing the nominal value of its treasury.
