Robinhood Chain Surpasses $100 Billion in DEX Trading…

Robinhood Chain has surpassed $100 billion in cumulative decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume, approximately three and a half months after launching its public mainnet on July 1, 2026.

The milestone highlights the rapid expansion of Robinhood’s blockchain infrastructure as the brokerage company moves deeper into decentralized finance and tokenized financial assets.

According to an October 14 report by The Market Periodical, the network processed more than $53 billion in DEX trades during September and approximately $13 billion during October’s opening days, pushing cumulative volume beyond $100 billion.

Data from DeFiLlama independently confirms substantial trading activity. Its network dashboard shows approximately $1.05 billion in total value locked (TVL), more than $1 billion in stablecoin market capitalization and roughly $1.2 billion in daily DEX volume.

The figures position Robinhood Chain among the emerging Ethereum scaling networks attracting meaningful decentralized trading activity. However, cumulative volume measures the notional value of trades executed rather than the amount of capital deposited or revenue earned.

Robinhood Chain’s Trading Activity Accelerates

Robinhood officially launched the network on July 1 during its World Is Flat event in London, following a public testnet introduced in February.

Built using the Arbitrum technology stack, Robinhood Chain is designed to support tokenized real-world assets, decentralized lending and blockchain-based financial services. Its launch ecosystem included Uniswap, Chainlink, Alchemy and BitGo, providing decentralized liquidity, market data and infrastructure services.

Trading activity expanded rapidly after launch. The network recorded approximately $3.1 billion in DEX volume during its first week, according to earlier industry reporting, before cumulative activity climbed to approximately $34.6 billion by early September.

The latest reported milestone represents a substantial increase from that level.

Nevertheless, trading volume should not be interpreted exclusively as demand for tokenized equities. Decentralized exchanges on Robinhood Chain also facilitate cryptocurrency and memecoin transactions, which have contributed significantly to early network activity.

DeFiLlama’s dashboard separately tracks decentralized exchange volume, perpetual futures activity, protocol revenue and total value locked. These measures capture different aspects of network usage and should not be combined indiscriminately.

Tokenized Stocks Remain Central to Robinhood’s Strategy

Robinhood Chain was developed to connect traditional financial markets with decentralized blockchain infrastructure, particularly through tokenized equities. The company introduced Stock Tokens enabling eligible international investors to obtain economic exposure to shares of major publicly traded companies.

Its blockchain infrastructure supports around-the-clock trading and allows eligible tokens to interact with decentralized lending platforms and liquidity protocols.

Robinhood has also integrated Chainlink’s oracle infrastructure to support market pricing and interoperability across blockchain networks.

The expansion comes as the brokerage strengthens its wider cryptocurrency business. Robinhood reported $1.31 billion in second-quarter revenue, representing a 32% year-over-year increase.

However, the $100 billion cumulative trading milestone does not represent revenue attributable to Robinhood. Trading fees are distributed across decentralized applications, liquidity providers and network infrastructure participants.

Under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, Robinhood Chain also shares 10% of qualifying net protocol revenue with the Arbitrum ecosystem. The next measure of its development will be whether sustained trading volumes translate into deeper liquidity, greater tokenized-asset adoption and recurring economic activity.

Robinhood’s third-quarter earnings announcement, scheduled for October 27, could provide additional information about its blockchain strategy and the commercial importance of its decentralized finance operations.
